Not content with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0, Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1?  Well maybe the Samsung galaxy Note 10.1, as announced at Mobile World Congress, is right up your street?

Speaking at a press event this week, a Samsung spokesperson said

the Galaxy Note 10.1 was unveiled at Mobile World Congress a tad early, in order to make a splash and gauge reaction.

However, the final product is said to feature a design overhaul in order to differentiate the Note 10.1 from the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. Remember the Note comes with the intelligent pen for advanced office functionality.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 featured at the MWC event February had a 1280 x 800 resolution, 1.4GHz dual-core processor and 3MP rear camera.

Another popular and very worthwhile feature of the note is true multitasking, you can for example watch a video and take notes at the same time on the same screen. Sounds simple for those without tabs, but is far out for those of stuck in a single task 2012 tablet world.

Rumours are a-plenty of Google releasing their own Nexus branded tablet some time this year, and they seam to be picking up reliability.

It’s taken a fair while for the details of Google’s first Nexus tablet to come together, but we now know that the Asus-made 7in slate will feature an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will be Wi-Fi-only.

Asus have stood by Google since the start of their tablet offerings and brought Honeycomb and ICS to the masses with the Transformer series. This looks to have put the company in favour with Google, despite a hefty Motorola ownership.

The currently estimated price is expected to be around the $249 (£155) mark, it’s said that Google has decided to hold back on launching the tablet next month to work on lowering the price, to compete better with the Amazon branded Kindle Fire.

As if heating up to the temperatures of the inside of a pop-tart weren’t bad enough now there are reports that the new iPad has some Wi-Fi issues.

The issue has been reported over on the Apple Support Communities. It explains:

“I am in a hotel with my laptop and new ipad3. The laptop wifi reception is as strong as it gets, but the iPad only registers a weak signal.”

After that there are many replies from users facing similar issues.

It appears to only be the wi-fi model that is effected and Apple are willing to replace any effected models.

“In the United States, contact centers and retail stores should capture iPad (3rd generation) Wi-Fi only devices if they exhibit any issue related to Wi-Fi.”

Of course die-hards are ready to relentlessly defend their brand and so even with issues are unlikely to admit to the open world.

After all recent stats show 98% of iAddicts are overwhelmed with how good the new iPad is, 75% of Apple iDevice fans are happy with their purchase, Apple developers make 67% more than Android developers and 99.654% of stats related to iPhones and iPads come straight from Apple themselves.

The official ASUS Facebook page has released a teaser that promises “awesome new features” in the next update for its Transformer Prime.

While Asus themselves haven’t released any actual details, several commenters have pointed out posts on XDA Developers by ASUS’ Gary Key indicating firmware 9.4.2.21 will arrive “by March 30th”.

A possible preview of the features translated from a list on the company’s Swedish Facebook site for a differently numbered, though also yet to be released update.

Apple has just announced that they have sold a record 3 million iPads, wait I mean “the new iPad”‘s since Friday.

“The new iPad is a blockbuster with three million sold?the strongest iPad launch yet,”

said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

“Customers are loving the incredible new features of iPad, including the stunning Retina display, and we can’t wait to get it into the hands of even more customers around the world this Friday.”

Apple’s fanbase remains as loyal as ever, with pre-orders taking the website down and queues outside of stores.

Sure there is a lot of pop culture going on here, with many people actually unable to tell the difference between the devices, especially relating to speed.

However the device’s display has received raze reviews and has pushed the benchmark for tablet screen resolution.

T-Mobile have joined the many other networks in announcing availability for the new iPad.

T-Mobile promoting the fact that their joint Everything Everywhere network and “advanced 3.5G rollout” will give better coverage and speeds, however in our tests, the network is still flakey with varied coverage.

You can buy the white 32GB version for £279 and then £25 per month (for 2 years) for 1GB of data allowance plus another 1GB for use during off-peak or“quiet time” as they call it, which is basically overnight – midnight and 10AM.

They’re offering up the 16GB and 32GB version in either black or white.

There is no cost relief if you opt for the iPad 2 instead though, exact same pricing.

As a part of Apple’s launch process, usually a series of uncontrolled leaks start happening in the weeks before.

The secrets parts that Apple had kept under wraps for months miraculously just start appearing, of course the company has NO IDEA how it happens.

Well for the iPad 3 which is said to be released or at least launched later this week this has been exactly the case.

The device is thought to have a 2,048 x 1.53 IPS LCD display and may even bear the moniker HD and not 3, although we doubt that. The device is said to have the same footprint, 9.7 inches increasing the DPI dramatically.

The people over at M.I.C. Gadget have gotten their hands on all kind of bits and bobs.

They’ve got a white glass cover without a frame, a 3G ready aluminium body with cables and dock connector and you can even see a larger lens cover on the new casing indicating there may be a cam upgrade too.

The video also shows that the iPad 3 is marginally thicker, curvature from the flat bottom to the sides is ever so slightly more emphasized.

Archos has unveiled the Child Pad tablet, an Android afair geared for the younger generation.

The key issue here is that Android isn’t very child friendly, not the OS but the Market with it’s huge amount of adult apps (And viruses). Archos will get around this by offering a cut down filtered child friendly market.

The Archos Child Pad has a 7in display, 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).

It’s only gonna cost £99 too, making the Archos Child Pad is a little more expensive than the likes of the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer, but it does come with 28 games, including Angry Birds and Pig Rush.

The Archos Child Pad will be out sometime this month.
